Cameron Clarke is a New York City-based actor, writer, performer, and professional goofball*. He was born and raised in beautiful rural Northern Virginia. A proud alum of James Madison University (also in Virginia), Cameron is so happy to have spent the past two years in the Greatest City in the World, and he looks forward to being here for a long time.

Cam is also the founder of Company of Fools, a new theatre company which is currently gearing up for its third season in 2019, after a very successful 2018 season, featuring Pizza Man by Darlene Craviotto and Plucker by Alena Smith.

Mr. Clarke was most recently seen in the ensemble of The Public Theater’s Shakespeare in the Park production of Julius Caesar. Other favorite credits include Benedick in Much Ado About Nothing, Antonio in The Tempest, Orlando in As You Like It, Brick Pollitt in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, and Louis the Dauphin in King John.

The Camster's always looking to meet new people and find new opportunities, so please say hi!

*So what's a "professional goofball"?

Glad you asked, friendly site visitor. I refer to myself as a professional goofball for a couple of reasons:

  • it's easier than saying, "I'm a writer, poet, actor, stand-up comic, jokester, impressionist, clown, juggler, magician..." and all of the other things I dabble in. Professional goofball kind of covers everything!

  • It's a little cooler than saying I'm a "theatre artist," ya know?

  • It's a combination of two of my favorite things to be: a professional, and a total goof.

  • It's kind of amusing to read, so sometimes when I hand people my card, they actually keep it.

Better a witty fool than a foolish wit.
